No Better Place To Die - A movie project from Captain Dale Dye, USMC Retired

Capt. Dale Dye (PLATOON, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, BAND OF BROTHERS and THE PACIFIC) has set out to make one of the greatest war films of all time, outside the traditional Hollywood way. A first in movie history, you'll see a war film made for Veterans, by Veterans --both behind the camera and in front-- with part of the proceeds going back to Veterans. NO BETTER PLACE TO DIE is a gripping story of self-sacrifice, camaraderie and love for one's country. It's a story for all American patriots.

This is a startup campaign to raise funds to produce this movie. Follow the link to find out more:

Mission Statement

My name is Capt. Dale Dye. As mentioned above, some of you know me from PLATOON, SAVING PRIVATE RYANBAND OF BROTHERSTHE PACIFIC, among many other shows and movies over the last 35 years. Before that I served my country as a Marine, fighting in Vietnam and Beirut, earning three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. I came to Hollywood for two reasons; first, I knew I needed to stay in the fight for my own peace of mind and second, I saw a function that wasn't being fulfilled. War films in general lacked authenticity, the guttural emotion and sensory experience one feels in combat and the perspective of the grunt looking down the barrel of a rifle. I'd like to think I had something to do with the success of the aforementioned projects.

That being said, I've seen how Hollywood has changed over the years, and some may argue not for the better, especially when it comes to making war films. Art becomes a political statement for the filmmakers, which many times goes against the very fabric and core beliefs of patriotic Americans. Actors, some of whom who could be considered anti-American or unpatriotic in their views, are sometimes cast in leading roles (operationsupplydrop.org/opinion-hollywood-does-not-support-the-troops). It makes no sense and is a slap in the face to every Veteran, active duty service member and American patriot. You can imagine the roadblocks I've come up against trying to make this film in the usual Hollywood way. It's time for a change, but I need your help.

Coming July 28th - Deadly Storm (A Kelli Storm Novel 3)

Sneak Peek from Deadly Storm (A Kelli Storm Novel 3) coming July 28th!

Wednesday February 15th – 1:43 P.M. – Brighton Beach
3100 Brighton 7th Street – Residence of Dmitri Belevich

As Kelli made the right off Brighton Beach Avenue, she spotted a familiar black SUV speeding away from Dmitri’s building and a cold chill ran down her spine.

“Shit, we may already be too late.” She pulled into a spot in front of the building.

“What do mean too late?”

“The SUV that just pulled out is the same one that chased me last Thursday.” She pushed the door open and got out.

Eric stepped onto the sidewalk and looked at her. “How do you know it’s the same one?”

“No rear plate and blacked out windows. Not exactly your average sport utility vehicle. Let’s go check on Mr. Belevich. Let’s just hope he’s still alive.” She headed for the entrance.

She pushed through the front door, her heart racing, with Eric right behind. Dmitri’s apartment was on the ground floor, just past the stairwell. When they reached it, the door stood slightly ajar and a vile odor permeated the air. Kelli pushed the door open all the way, glanced at Eric, and stepped inside.
